Andrew graduated in Electronic Engineering from Southampton University in 1987. He then spent 18 months working on parallel processor design for a custom hardware/software consultancy.
To gain a financial qualification, Andrew joined Coopers & Lybrand (now PWC) and qualified as an ACA in 1992. He then spent two years working on financial modelling assignments with Coopers’ management consultancy division.
Since 1994 Andrew has worked in equity research NatWest, UBS, Robertson Stephens and since 1998 Merrill Lynch. He joined as a semiconductor analyst, and continued to do this until 2007 when he changed to the communications technology sector. Andrew also heads up the European technology research team at Merrill.
