This special mashup* event designed exclusively for members of the mashup* community is designed to provide a way for you to meet other members of the community and enjoy an evening of networking, discussion, debate and demos.

Our guest speakers Charles Cohen and Mike Frayne will be sharing some insights on how to prosper over the coming years if you have the right digital strategy.
We will also announce the winners of the mashup* Personal & Corporate Membership competition as per our recent Sleepout to raise sponsorship for the charity Action for Children (justgiving.com/mashup).
Guest Speakers:
Charles Cohen, Chief Executive Officer, Co-Founder. Probability Games
After graduating from Oxford University in 1992 with a degree in Politics,
Philosophy and Economics,Mr Cohen worked first as political assistant to Rt.
Hon. Robert (now Lord) Maclennan MP in the House of Commons. In 1994, he was
recruited to create a new technology division of Band & Brown
Communications, a public relations firm in London. Then in 1998, he
conceived and founded beenz.com INC, an internet currency programme. By
mid-2001, beenz.com was valued at $300 million and had raised $90million in
private equity. Originally chief technology officer, Mr Cohen became chief
executive officer of beenz.com in 2000. The business was sold privately in
2001 to a US corporation.
In 2002, Mr. Cohen's first book, "Corporate Vices" - an analysis of
corporate cultures at the end of the 1990's - was published by Wiley
Capstone. He was also elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
Mr. Cohen co-founded Probability plc with John Scaife in 2003.
Mike Frayne - founder of Intec Telecom Systems PLC
Mike Frayne has founded and developed a number of IT businesses. He has
developed companies from the start up phase to mature, successful,
profitable public companies with world wide footprints and customer
bases.
Mike is the founder and former Chairman of Intec Telecom Systems PLC.
Mike retired from an operational role as Executive Chairman in April
2005.
Mike is also a founder of numerous other IT businesses, including
international IT services group, iOCORE, which employed almost 700
people globally. iOCORE was founded in South Africa in 1995 and
developed operations in both Europe and Australia. The Finnish
subsidiary became a public company in 2000 and Mike chaired this
business until it was acquired in 2004.
Mike is also Chairman of Agillic and CEO of visionOSS. He was named an Ernst & Young 'Entrepreneur of the Year'
in 2001.
