Family 2.0 - new digital products & services serving the family

Date: 17th February 2011
Venue: Olswang, 90 High Holborn, WC1V 6XX
Time: 18.00 - 21.00
Tickets: £35+VAT
Family 2.0 will focus on the new digital products and services that are serving the family and how should we sell and market them. We'll be looking at the implications to the family circle with a wide ranging debate about how we use technology, what technology is available, what the research says and where we go from here.
With the shape of the family ever-changing, children growing up in more than one household, parents increasingly working away or from home, does the addition of digital technologies enable greater family interaction or lead to an ever distracted household.
We're all sharing images from our phones to Facebook and on into the media hub. We'll be querying who is in control of this content and what should or shouldn't be shared. We'll discuss the rules or restrictions and whether there should be any.
As those annoying wires become wireless (again!) are we creating too much noise in the house? A TV in every room, a mobile in every pocket, multiple laptops, ipads, wii, nintendo DS, xboxes and ipods galore. The blackboard in the kitchen is moving to become an interactive shared online collaboration space, everyone is always switched on so maybe we all need Tech-free Sundays but do we really want them?
This is bound to be a lively and informative debate!
