He's been a Senior Product&nbsp\; chap at the BBC\, working across all key web properties and helped set up the organisation's mobile services. More recently he thoroughly enjoyed being Director of Product at an Accel-backed start-up. He currently runs mobile products &amp\; strategy at the Guardian Newspaper Group while fitting in some free digital consulting for worthy causes.</p><p><strong>Caroline van den Bergh<br /></strong>Head of Products\, Golden Gekko</p><p><strong>How mixer* works\:</strong></p><p>This network orientated event will start with a 10 minute keynote and then be opened up to 30 se</p><p>cond 'stand ups'.&nbsp\; Anyone who comes to the event will be eligible to take advantage of the stand up time\, however to get on the list you must have a completed profile on the mashup* site with a picture\, profile and web links.&nbsp\; Once this is done you can let Emma (<a href=\\"mailto\:emma@mashupevent.com\\">emma@mashupevent.com</a>) know you want to do a stand up.ONLY THOSE WHO PRE-REGISTER WITH EMMA WILL BE ALLOCATED A SLOT.<br /><br />The 'stand up' slots are for you to describe what you NEED from the mashup* community (e.g a new CTO\, funding\, advisors\, mentors\, consultants\, partners\, etc). You have 30 seconds to speak (no slides\, no demos) and the 'crowd' then have a minute to respond to the ask. Note\: you can also simply ask a question rather than describing a fully-fledged need as such. The idea is that these little interactions will trigger more useful engagements after the 'stand up' session.<div class=\\"image-clear\\"></div></p>

Prior to that\, he was a consultant at McKinsey &amp\;Co and has worked in various VP\, MD and COO roles in other technology\, internet and telecoms based service delivery companies. Broadsight counts many of the major UK telecoms and media companies as clients\, as well as helping to advise and launch a number of succesful startups in areas such as online and mobile advertising\, real time search\, e-Readers and IPTV/WebTV and Mobile Video.</p><p><br />As part of its services Broadsight undertakes market intelligence/trend forecasting projects for clients\, and these assignments include the potential - and pitfalls - of location based services (among other mobile services). Broadsight has recently released iDox\, its first iPhone application for sahred document copying and filing\, aimed at the business market\,&nbsp\; and (this will not surprise you) is looking at location based services itself. Previously\, Jon was utilising these skills for the Vectone Group\, as the Chief Marketing Officer looking after MVNO and VOIP clients. This was after changing the face of mobile advertising by launching Blyk\, The Youth Media Network and MVNO in the UK. Prior to this Jon was the Sales and Marketing Director For Picture Production Company\, working with clients in the entertainment and youth marketing arena's.
