Mar 12, 2010: Your Social Marketing Workshop at Defoor Center
Another week has come and gone. Can you believe that we’re already in the 3rd month of 2010?
You should be asking yourself "What have I already put in place that will let me profit in a bigger way in 2010 than I did in 2009?"
I once heard Alex Mandossian say that every 2 years he strives to turn his yearly income into his monthly income. Now that is HUGE growth! Even if you're not quite this ambitious, you should be doing SOMETHING to grow your business!
If you’re ready to REALLY improve your business, that means you need to have a presence online.
A small website just won't do either. You really need to have a presence on a variety of social media websites that let you start and cultivate relationships with your prospects.
But with all those sites -- places like Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, and even Upcoming Events here on Yahoo! -- there are so many of them to choose from! You could spend 24 hours a day doing nothing BUT social marketing and still end up with no more profits than you have now.
That's why we're hosting "Your Social Marketing Workshop" from March 12th to 14th.
We'll get all of your basic social media accounts set up FOR you without you ever lifting a finger. Then, all 3 days of the workshop, you'l lget started using them. We'll show you everything you'll need to know in order to really put them to work FOR you in a big way!
AND -- you don't even need to join us in Atlanta to benefit from this!
We just added a STREAMING TICKET option for those who can't make it! You'll find the details at:
http://www.askggg.com/workshoplive
But, if you CAN get yourself to Atlanta, you'll get a VERY special BONUS -- a trial of a new site that promises more than 10,000 backlinks to your site by the end of the workshop AND a 2 hour training program so you can put your membership to work right away! (This session will NOT be broadcast!)
Seats are filling fast so reserve yours now at:
http://askggg.com/workshop
I sincerely hope to see you in Atlanta for this ‘one of a kind’ workshop.
To Your Abundant Success,
Gina Gaudio-Graves

Feb 11, 2010: Mini Seedcamp Zagreb at Hrvatska gospodarska komora
Mini Seedcamp's role in our distributed model
We found that to tap into the talent in the time zones from London to Tel Aviv, we needed to have a different, more distributed model which aimed to bring start ups together in a sustainable distributed network with all the key elements of a healthy different strands of ecosystem: entrepreneurs, investors, great product, marketing and technology advisors, academia and corporates.
Core to this model are Mini Seedcamps, which we started as an experiment in 2008 in Paris, London, Berlin and Kiev and then expanded to a fully fledged program in 2009 with 7 Mini Seedcamps in Tel Aviv, Paris, Warsaw, London, Helsinborg, Ljubljana and Berlin.

Feb 17, 2010: Oxford Geek Night #16 at Jericho Tavern
The geek nights are a way for local web developers, designers, programmers, neophiles or geeks of any other stripe to get together, chat, drink and listen to talks on new technologies and innovations.
Each OGN consists of two keynote talks of 15 minutes each. There are also frenetic bursts of socialising, sometimes adverts for other local groups, but always interspersed with two sets of 5-minute-long microslot sessions.
= OGN16 starting earlier! =
Following feedback, the OGN16 keynotes will begin at eight o'clock, a full half hour earlier. The rest of the lineup will similarly start and finish that little bit earlier. This should be more convenint for those having to head to homes outside the ring road.
= Keynotes =
Keynote speakers are invited to talk at Oxford Geek Nights. OGN16 will feature:
* The New Raw Materials and Data Chemistry, by Chris Thorpe, founder of Jaggeree
* How To Herd Cats: tips on running a successful online community, by Garrett Coakley
= Microslots =
These are five-minute "lightning" talks that anyone can volunteer for. They're easy to do: pick something that excites you, or a project you've worked on that you think might be of interest; then talk to a friendly audience for just five minutes with a handful of slides. Submit your microslot
http://natbat.wufoo.com/forms/oxford-geek-night-microslot-proposal/
and we'll see you on the night!
Confirmed microslots:
* Dark Ages 2.0, by Simon Hawkins
* Subj3ct - Making the Semantic Web Work, by Kal Ahmed
* Creating a graduate jobs and advice website with Drupal, by Johan Gant
* The Zombie Cookie Apocalypse, by David Sheldon
* Snowtime at Torchbox, by Wes West and Andrew Godwin
